Trixie is a purebred, black & tan female bloodhound, age 5 years.  She was formerly a working dog with a juvenile detention facility, but was thrown away when she lost the drive to follow a trail.  She is a petite female, about 60 pounds.  She is spayed, up-to-date on vaccinations and healthy.  She initially tested mildly positive for heartworms, but no worms were detected in the heart.  Her veterinarian put her on Heartgard prevention as a treatment so she should be heartworm negative now.  She loves to be with people.  She has a great disposition with people, other dogs and cats.  She is very easy going and happy.  She is crate-trained and is being housebroken.  She is well-behaved indoors.  Trixie is fostered in MS.
