Miss Sunshine was picked up stray in southwest Florida suffering from severe hair loss on her face due to extreme staph & yeast infections on her skin and ears. She has regained most of her fur and is a beautiful girl. She suffers from environmental allergies and is being treated for the yeast on her skin, which is caused by the allergies. She's was put on a course of fish oil and Benadryl, to control the allergies, and some antibiotics to get rid of the yeast. While her skin is greatly improved, she has some scarring due to the condition being left untreated for so long. She has a very loving disposition with adults, older children and other dogs. She loves to play with other dogs and humans, and has a very youthful and happy disposition. She has not yet been evaluated with young children; she is interested in cats because they're new to her, and she likes to take a sniff when available. Sunshine is so sweet & laid back, kids and cats should be no problem. She is completely housebroken and well-behaved indoors. She is very tiny for a bloodhound, only about 60 pounds. She loves to sleep in the bed with her people, and loves all the attention she can get. She is always thrilled to offer up her bloodhound belly for a rub. She's a very easy dog to have, since she's so agreeable, happy, adaptable and affectionate. Miss Sunshine is fostered in southwest FL. |
