Farnsworth is a black & tan bloodhound (possible blue tick cross) male, approximate age 3 years.  He was taken from his previous owners by the authorities (along with many other animals who were being starved to death).  He was skeletal when he entered foster care, which his first picture shows.  He had pressure sores and swelling in his joints from being confined to a rocky patch of ground and was suffering from an open wound.  He is getting healthier by the day (which you can see in his photographs).  He is neutered, vaccinated and has been wormed.  He is on heartworm prevention.  The pressure sores will leave calluses, probably for the rest of his life, but he is very lucky to be alive.  He has a great temperament with adults and children.  He is food protective around other dogs, though, which is understandable given the conditions he was rescued from.

UPDATE: Six months later, Farnsworth is showing no scars from his previous battered life. He is now a big boy (90+ pounds) and deserving of a big name, so he is now Hank Farnsworth. He holds no grudges against humans and loves people of all ages. He enjoys hugs and wants a home and family of his own to share them with.
